Vicodin Dosage
Vicodin dosage is adjusted based on severity of the pain and response of patient. Also keep in mind that acceptance of vicodin can be developed with continuous use of drug and so incidence of inconvenient effects is related.
The vicodin dosage for the adults is for 500mg or 5mg tablet is 1 or 2 tablets for every 4-6 hours according to the pain. Total twenty-four hour dose should not go beyond the eight tablets.
The usual adult dosage of vicodin (for 650 mg or 7.5 mg tablet) is only one tablet for every 4 to 6 hours as per the pain. Total twenty-four hour dose should not go beyond the 5 tablets.
Vicodin Oral Overdose:
If suspected the overdose then immediately contact to emergency room or center of local poison control. Hotline for US residents to call US national poison is 1-800-222-1222. Canadian residents can call directly to local poison control center. Overdose symptoms may contain: slow breathing, vomiting, slow heartbeat, cold or clammy skin, loss of consciousness, unusual sweating, severe nausea, dark urine, yellowing skin or eyes, stomach pain and extreme fatigue.
Vicodin Oral Missed Dose:
If patient miss the dose of vicodin then tae it as soon as remember it. If timing of next dose is near then skip the first missed dose and continue the schedule. For catching up, do not double the dose.
Vicodin Oral Notes:
Do not share vicodin medication with the others because it is next to the law.
This medication only prescribed for current condition of the patient. Don't use it for treating other conditions until doctor told you to use that. Different medicines can be important in these cases.
For preventing the constipation, maintain a diet sufficient in fiber, exercise regularly and drink abundance of water. If you are becoming constipated using this drug then immediately consult to doctor or pharmacist to help in deciding laxative for example stimulant-type
Vicodin Oral Storage:
Store the vicodin medicine at the room temperature between 59 - 86 degree F and keep it away from moisture and light. Don't store it in the bathroom and keep them away from pets and children.
When product is no longer needed or expired then discard them. For discarding the products, consult to local waste disposal company or pharmacist.
Overdosage:
If any medication can be taken extra then must have some serious consequences. Sever use of vicodin may be fatal. If some problem occurs because of overdose then immediately take the medical treatment.
